I’ve decided to add a new category to the mix here at ideas for conversations.
The mounting frustrations I’m experiencing simply from reading and hearing about outdated companies believing in outdated things has inspired me to dream up a fictitious company - NEWCORP! (To hell with the name, people do business with people, like Mike or Susan… not companies like Innovative Leverage Co.)
NEWCORP posts will be exclusively devoted to things that 99.9% of us will never see implemented where we work. Unconventional. Counter-intuitive. Downright dumb. These are all the things I aspire to achieve with my NEWCORP ideas.
On that note…
NEWCORP Hardcore Follow-or-Die Rule #1: Thou must work for NEWCORP and at LEAST one other company other than a direct competitor. NEWCORP will allow you to spend 25% of your time at this other company while maintaining 100% of your salary. You may also elect to spend the 25% doing freelance work instead.
Note: If you steal our customers, we will send for Terry Tate.
